Spinal Injections

You will be educated about spinal injections and will be offered a variety of services including precise fluoroscopic-guided spinal injections of local anesthetics and corticosteroids.
Routine Exams
Our Fellowship trained Spine PM&R physicians at the United Spine Center are experts in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of spinal pathology.
Physiatrists, also known as PM&R physicians, are medical doctors who specialize in the treatment of all things musculoskeletal. Their medical training is focused on muscle, bone, and nerve disorders which may cause pain or inhibit function. On top of which, our physicians at the United Spine Center, have completed additional years of medical training subspecializing in spinal disorders and treatments.
Exercise-Based Physical Therapy
For many patients, specific exercise-based treatments are offered to improve strength and physical function to reduce pain.
The United Spine Center has implemented an intensive exercise-based program, often referred to as “spine boot camp” which is internationally recognized for its effectiveness and based upon research from multiple clinical studies.
Our program uses extensive testing of physical function to identify areas of the body in need of improvement. These areas are then the focus of an intense, supervised exercise program. Our patients’ hard work is often rewarded with a marked improvement of physical abilities and reduced pain.
Joint Injections
In addition to spinal injections, United Spine Center offers fluoroscopic guided injections of various joints that may mimic spinal pain. For example, the sacroiliac joint and hip joints are often overlooked as potential pain sources.
No Opiates
The United Spine Center's physicians are specialists in the management of spinal pain and pathology. Our policy, which coincides with current research, operates under a non-opiate treatment protocol. As such, medications such as Dilaudid, Percocet, Oxycontin, Morphine, Vicodin, etc. are not given as part of our treatment program.
